LOCATION

We offer two small apartments in romantic fishermen town of Hel, located on the 2nd floor of a 3-storey building with traditional half-timbered walls. The entrance is from 9 Boczna Street, corner of Rybacka Street. When on the staircase, you can look at the sea, viewed from the Bay of Puck. Our windows overlook the park, with Dworcowa Street behind it. Looking down from the windows, you can see the railway station and hear train announcements several times a day. A walk along Rybacka Street will take you to the seaside in two minutes.

SEASONAL MINI APARTMENTS, AVAILABLE MAY - OCTOBER

The two adjacent apartments, called “Helka” and “Helen”, are very compact (only 15 sq.m. each), but furnished sensibly and with love. Each apartment offers the following:

  • WIFI 
  • a kitchenette with a stove, a sink, a fridge, tableware, cutlery and a ceramic Slowpresso coffee brewing set,
  • a bathroom with toilet, sink and shower,

     

  • Helen: a double folding sofa bed and, as needed and/or available: a folding hotel bed with a 13 cm mattress, an extra folding foam mattress and a cot bed,

     

  • Helka: NEW from 2024, extra comfortable woden bunk bed, double downstairs 140×200 and 90×200 upstairs (photos soon)
  • two IKEA wardrobes, chairs and a table.

     

  • A quiet fan, a sunblind, a bedside lamp, a beach chair, a picnic blanket, a beach screen,

     

  • lockable window handles for parental control over young children.

We prepared the baskets of basic products for breakfast/ supper in 3 versions: vegan, fish and meat. If you wish, it can wait for you in the room.  Value 45 PLN . Sufficient for 2 people.


The arrangement of arriving and leaving the apartment can be done according to your needs at every hour of day and night.

GETTING THERE

BY TRAIN
In high season, you can reach the Hel train station by direct trains from Warsaw, Wroclaw, Lublin and Krakow, some of which have sleepers and couchette cars. During the off-season, you can change trains at the Gdynia Główna station. All railway platforms are furnished with lifts so you can travel comfortably even with big luggage.

BY CAR
If you arrive by car, parking spaces are available in a fenced area which is part of the property. 

BY SHIP
In high season, the Żegluga Gdańska sailing company offers daily cruises to Hel from Gdansk, Gdynia and Sopot.

PETS

Small dogs are allowed but remember to bring a dog bedding, which will be placed on the floor. 

EATING OUT AND SHOPPING IN HEL

The town of Hel has two good restaurants open all year round. In addition, there are many varied restaurants in high season. They offer breakfasts, lunches and dinners, as well as fresh fish caught daily. The Słoneczna Café opens in early May. During the tourist season, you will find many venues offering coffee, ice-cream and waffles as well as fresh smoked fish. If you are on a diet and want to bring ingredients and prepare your own meals, “Helen” offers a three-chamber freezer for your needs. A well-stocked Polo supermarket (carrying also organic products) as well as a bakery are just within a five minutes’ walk. In the vicinity, you will also find a few Żabka mini markets, a handful of local grocers, a fishmonger and a Rossmann store.

LOCAL ATTRACTIONS

You will have plenty of fresh air packed with natural iodine to inhale; you can enjoy the forest that occupies 97% of the municipality of Hel, the Small Beach with a promenade, the Large Beach with a footpath, the Seal Sanctuary open to the public, a playground, many seasonal attractions, 35 km of bicycle paths and bike rental shops, diving and windsurfing schools, exhibitions and other exciting initiatives as well as rock concerts in the Hello bar.
